Professional and Compassionate Approach to Your Wellbeing

Menopause is a unique and often challenging journey for every woman. It’s a time of significant change in your body, mind, and emotions, and while this is a natural phase in life, navigating it can feel overwhelming. If you’re looking for guidance and support during this transition, you need a coach who not only understands the complexities of menopause but also has the experience, training, and expertise to help you thrive through it.

I’m here to help you embrace this chapter of life with confidence, clarity, and resilience. As a menopause trained coach using the Embers Model, with over 16 years of experience in mental health and well-being, I bring a wealth of knowledge and tools to support your journey. Here’s why I believe I’m the right coach to guide you through menopause and how you can feel confident in choosing the right professional to work with.

1. Extensive Professional Experience in Mental Health and Wellbeing

With over 16 years in the mental health field, I have worked with women through a range of life challenges, supporting them to build mental resilience, improve their emotional well-being, and manage life’s transitions. As a trained and experienced mental health professional, I bring a deep understanding of the psychological and emotional shifts that often accompany menopause.

2. Specialised Training in Menopause Coaching

EMBERS Trained & Certified
EMBERS Trained & Certified

I’m specially trained in the EMBERS® Menopause-Informed framework, which takes a whole-person approach to menopause. It looks at how biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors all play a role in this stage of life. This model is based on Lifestyle Medicine principles and backed by neuroscience, helping us understand how menopause affects both the brain and mental well-being.

Grounded in proven Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies designed to support women in navigating the emotional, physical, and mental changes that occur during menopause.

Menopause is not just about managing symptoms; it's about reclaiming your sense of self and creating a strategy for well-being that empowers you. Whether it’s dealing with hot flashes, mood swings, anxiety, or sleep disturbances, the tools I offer are designed to help you manage symptoms while fostering emotional balance and mental clarity.

3. ICF-Certified Coaching for Professional Quality and Ethics

When you choose to work with a coach, it’s important to consider their level of training, experience, and professional credentials. I am a certified coach through an International Coach Federation (ICF)-accredited program, which ensures that I’ve met the highest standards in coaching practice. This includes observational training, reviews, and required hours of practice—ensuring that I am not just knowledgeable but have the real-world experience to help you achieve lasting results.

The ICF sets global standards for coaching ethics, and as a certified coach, I follow their Code of Ethics to safeguard your confidentiality and well-being. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your concerns and challenges while respecting your privacy and autonomy.

4. Trauma-Informed Care for Your Safety and Wellbeing

Menopause can stir up deep emotions and memories related to past traumas. As a trauma-informed practitioner trained in women’s trauma care, I am acutely aware of how unresolved trauma can impact your mental and emotional health during menopause. Whether it’s past abuse, loss, or difficult life events, my approach ensures that your coaching experience is sensitive, compassionate, and supportive of your unique needs.

I understand how important it is to create a safe, nurturing environment for healing and growth, and I approach our work together with the utmost care and respect for your personal history.

5. Personalised and Client-Centered Approach

Every woman’s menopause experience is unique, and it’s essential that your coaching journey is tailored to your individual needs and goals. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I work with you to create a personalised plan that focuses on your strengths, challenges, and aspirations.

As you consider which coach is right for you, ask them:

  • What specific experience does this coach have with peri/menopause?

  • What was their training, who provided the training and what was involved?

  • How long have they been coaching, and what is their professional background?

  • What kind of client intake do they have? (Coaches should limit their intake to ensure quality service, and I maintain a manageable caseload to offer dedicated support to each client.)

  • Do you have testimonials or previous clients I can speak to?

6. Ethics and Professional Standards

When selecting a coach, it’s essential to consider their professional ethics and the standards they adhere to. I follow the ICF Code of Ethics, which ensures that I maintain the highest standards of practice, professionalism, and integrity in every aspect of our work together. Your confidentiality, safety, and trust are paramount, and I am committed to protecting these throughout our coaching relationship.

7. Why Coaching Matters for Menopause

Menopause is often portrayed in a negative light, but it doesn’t have to be a time of loss or decline. With the right support, you can navigate this transition with empowerment and grace. A well-trained coach who understands both the psychological and physical aspects of menopause can help you make sense of your emotions, manage stress, and find practical solutions for the challenges you face.

In our coaching sessions, you’ll not only gain practical tools for managing symptoms, but you’ll also have the opportunity to explore and heal the emotional aspects of menopause. Together, we will build your resilience, enhance your emotional well-being, and help you create a vision for your life after menopause a vision that is fulfilling, empowering, and full of possibility.
